manufacture in china
Designed here. Made in China. One team.
skeelx is a design and sourcing firm: the same engineers who design your product find the factory, judge the samples, run the inspections and manage the freight. No handoff between "the designers" and "the agent" — because they're the same people.
works both ways
China when you're ready. Local when you're not.
Design-only & local programs
No import required. Strategy, design, engineering and software engagements run end to end with local manufacture or your existing suppliers — China never has to enter the picture. The six practices stand on their own.
Sourcing-only
Already have a design? We'll take your pack to production: manufacturability review first, then factory search, vetting, samples, quality control and freight. The review usually pays for itself in the first quote round.
End to end
The full journey — from first sketch through evidence loops to a vetted factory, inspected production and delivered stock. One team accountable for the whole outcome, which is the point.
the services
Three jobs, done properly.
Sourcing & vetting
Find the right factory, not the loudest listing: verification, capability checks, negotiation against real drawings, samples judged by engineers.
02Quality control
Pre-production, in-line and pre-shipment inspections against agreed AQL levels; golden samples; corrective loops that keep batch nine matching batch one.
03Production & freight
From purchase order to delivered stock: schedule truth, incoterms explained in plain language, freight coordinated, landed costs labelled honestly.
how it runs
Specification to shipment.
The same evidence-loop discipline as our design work, applied to production. Every stage ends in something you can judge — a shortlist, a sample, an inspection report — never a promise.
- Specification — drawings, materials, tolerances and a quality standard a factory can price honestly
- Search & vetting — candidate factories verified and checked against your product's actual processes
- Samples — rounds judged by the engineers who designed the product, not against a photo
- Production — staged payments, monitored schedule, inspections at the stages risk demands
- Freight — the right incoterm for your risk appetite, coordinated to your door
- Handover — supplier file, inspection history and landed-cost record; yours, documented
why design-led
The sourcing partner that designs what it makes.
Most sourcing agents can't open CAD. Every conversation with a factory is a translation — and the product loses something each time. Because skeelx designs and engineers products in-house, the factory gets drawings instead of screenshots, samples are judged against tolerances instead of vibes, and when something needs to change mid-production, the people deciding are the people who designed it. That's the difference between sourcing a product and protecting one.
straight answers
Asked often.
Is manufacturing in China safe for a small business?
It's safe the way flying is safe — with process. Factory vetting, clear specifications, sampling before commitment, staged payments and independent inspections remove most of the risk. The danger isn't China; it's skipping steps.
Can't I just use Alibaba myself?
You can, and many do. What a sourcing partner changes: verification beyond the listing, negotiation against a real specification, samples judged by engineers, and quality control before money moves. Because we design products for a living, our specs are drawings a factory respects — not screenshots.
Do I have to manufacture in China to work with skeelx?
No. Local design and engineering programs run end to end without any import — China manufacturing is a capability you can add when volume calls for it, not a toll gate.
I already have a design — will you source it?
Yes. Sourcing-only engagements are welcome. We review your pack for manufacturability first, which usually pays for itself in the first quote round.
