digital — advisory

Growth advisory: the senior head, retained.

Between doing it all yourself and hiring a marketing executive sits a long, expensive gap — where budgets get spent on instinct and vendors mark their own homework. Growth advisory fills it: a standing senior advisor across your marketing, digital and measurement, in the room for the decisions, accountable for the judgment.

the job

Judgment, applied monthly.

The numbers, read honestly

Performance reviewed against the job ledger rather than the platforms' own report cards — with the uncomfortable conclusions said out loud and acted on.

Vendors held to standard

Agencies, freelancers and platforms reviewed by someone who does the work and knows what good looks like — the questions asked that this site teaches you to ask, asked for you.

Priorities defended

What to fund, what to pause, what to stop pretending will work — decided in a standing session and recorded in writing, so strategy survives the month that follows it.

the honest bit

Advisory without the empire-building.

An advisor who recommends their own execution has a conflict worth naming — so we name it: where we advise, recommending skeelx for delivery is disclosed as exactly that, alternatives are put on the table, and the retainer never depends on you buying more. Some advisory clients never buy execution from us. That's the arrangement working.

And when the right move is hiring your own marketer, advisory becomes the bridge: carrying strategy until the salary makes sense, then helping hire, onboard and hand over. Working ourselves out of the room is a fine outcome.

straight answers

Asked often.

How is advisory different from you just doing the work?

Execution engagements ship deliverables; advisory ships judgment — reviewing what vendors and staff produce, setting priorities, pressure-testing spend, being the experienced head in the monthly meeting. Many clients hold both; some only need the judgment.

Is this a substitute for hiring a marketing manager?

Sometimes it's the bridge to one: advisory carries the strategy while the business grows into the salary, then helps hire and hand over. Where a marketer already exists, advisory becomes their senior sounding board rather than their replacement.

What does a typical month look like?

A standing session with the owners or managers: the numbers reviewed against the job ledger, decisions made on channels and budgets, vendor work held to standard, and a short written record of what was decided and why. Cadence and depth follow the size of what's at stake.
