digital — tracking

LinkedIn Insight Tag: B2B signal, read honestly.

For industrial and B2B services, LinkedIn's measurement answers questions no other platform can: are the right roles and companies arriving, and did the expensive clicks touch real pipeline? The Insight Tag is how that signal gets collected — implemented with consent, wired to events that mean pipeline, and read at the aggregate level it's honest at.

what we actually do

Implemented for the long cycle.

Conversions that predict pipeline

RFQ submissions, capability-page depth, document requests — the behaviours that precede a purchase order by months — defined as the conversions, instead of counting only same-week form fills.

Audiences worth retargeting

Visitor audiences built from meaningful pages — capabilities, sectors, RFQ paths — so retargeting reaches evaluators, not everyone who bounced off the homepage.

Consent and placement

Deployed through the governed tag layer, behind the same consent gate as every other pixel — one rule, uniformly enforced.

the honest bit

What the company data is — and isn't.

The tag's demographic reporting — industries, roles, companies visiting — is directional signal, useful for checking that target accounts are arriving at all. It is not visitor identification, and reading it as "Company X's engineer viewed our page Tuesday" over-claims what aggregate data can say. We report it as the directional layer it is, beneath the numbers that decide budgets: RFQs, qualified enquiries, pipeline joined to the quote ledger.

straight answers

Asked often.

What does the Insight Tag actually give us?

Conversion tracking for LinkedIn campaigns, retargeting audiences of site visitors, and aggregate insight into the companies and roles visiting — useful signal for a B2B pipeline, read at the aggregate level the platform provides.

Should conversions be form fills?

Better: the events that predict pipeline — RFQ submissions, capability-page depth, document requests. Industrial cycles run months, so counting only same-week form fills teaches the platform to chase the wrong behaviour.

Is the company-level visitor data reliable?

It's directional, not forensic — useful for seeing whether target industries and accounts are arriving, wrong for claiming an individual visited. We report it as the aggregate signal it is, alongside the pipeline numbers that actually decide budgets.
